Brine/Chlor-Alkali Filtration

Brine (Chlor-alkali) or high alkali filtration systems involve the use of highly reactive chemicals such as Chlorine and Sodium Chloride. In this application, Solka-Floc® and Alpha-Cel™ provide an inert, non-reactive filter media that maximizes flow through filtration systems improving clarity. The inert nature of IFE filtration / filter aids provides an advantage over Diatomaceous Earth (DE). At high pH levels, filtration systems using DE can become contaminated by minerals that leach out of the DE whereas Solka-Floc® and Alpha-Cel™ filtration / filter aid solutions do not have this problem.
